Are you eager to make a difference across the border this year? On May 19 Closer to His Heart departs for a special mission trip to Romania. During this short one-week outreach, we will work as a team to serve, encourage, and make God's heart tangible to the local people in Eastern Europe.
It promises to be a week full of special encounters, spiritual growth, and impact. Whether you have experience with missions or want to take the step for the first time: you are more than welcome to be part of this team.

Another team will go to Romania this week.
The first part we will stay at the Base of Youth with a Mission in Cluj-Napoca.
From here we will visit Teen Challenge and spend a day at the garbage dump, at the work of Frank and Rita Stout, where we want to spend time with the youth through music, worship, prayer and prophecy. We don't know the exact details yet but in prayer we are already preparing our hearts to experience what God wants to do there.
The rest of the week we will be at the Base in Danes, with David and Rodica McQuire. From here we will again visit the people in the mountain villages, more and more of whom we are getting to know and sometimes it will be another reunion! We will visit them again with food packages and with the Word of God, from which always comes a message of comfort, love and hope!!!!
Outreach Romania November 2024
We are already preparing for an Outreach in Romania! A very nice team is eager to go again. V.l.n.r. Sem, Eduard, Esther, Kirsten, Hans, Renate en Frits. From our guest house in Danes, where we stayed before, we will go out again to the mountain villages in the area, to hand out food packages, hugs, love, prayer and attention. Music and worship will be a common thread in this Outreach. Music is a beautiful bridge between cultures, it transcends language barriers, and God already used this language of music in the Bible to soften the heart of King Saul. God works through it, we have experienced it ourselves, it touches emotions and God often comes there very lovingly with healing, comfort and sometimes liberation.
We will also visit congregations of, among others, a pastor who has been working among this Roma population for years and is also a Roma himself and knows the conditions through and through and has lived. He recently started a church where people can grow in their walk with God. We are curious to see how they are doing! We will speak and worship.
You can very easily be part of this journey by, for example, donating a food package Yes please!. For €20, a family will already be blessed with a food package that we will help put together and bring to them ourselves. In this way every euro gets to the right place.
International Construction Outreach
We are going to spend a week with teams from all over the world building houses for and with the Roma people. Hans is also taking a construction team from Closer to His heart and will take on the Worship part himself. Nothing is more unifying than starting the day together by worshipping God. We are there in His Name and everything we do is inspired by His love and that is what we want to express and live out!
With a team of 3 men we are going to Romania again for a week to support the work of Nieck (of the Building with a Mission Foundation). There will be building, speaking, singing, praying and connecting. A visit to Teen Challenge and Roma congregations are also on the schedule again to speak, witness and lead worship there. These are always very enriching trips. Lots of giving, lots of receiving ... and all from relationship.
Hans will teach on Worship during a Conference of a Roma congregation in Bahnea, Romania.
