Worship & Encouragement Outreach

This Outreach we had on our heart and there was also the request to come with worship leaders, musicians and speakers, to encourage, pray and prophesy and bring the congregations and ministries into God's presence by sharing His word and worshiping God in spirit and in truth, as the Bible calls it in John 4.

The plans were to go mostly to connections we already have, to bless and serve them. Thus, we have been to:

Pata Rat - the site of Frank and Rita Stout's Rise2Shine ministry. They have been serving in the garbage dump for years, with a heart for this outcast group of people (especially the children and teenagers) who have no place, who are not welcome anywhere. To offer them hope and a future and to let them know Jesus, who above all (miserable) circumstances is also their Provider and Father!

In addition, in several Roma communities in Tigumandru, Soard and Bachnea.

In addition, there are some friendly ministries/places where we were allowed to lead or speak worship. Such as "Perspective Danes," Teen Challenge in Cluj-Napoca, the motorcycle club Ecclesia, and the prison in Buna Ziua.

What stood out very strongly was that we were allowed to bring hope and encouragement and God's LOVE. That dripped off and through everything. And at the same time we saw God doing great things in team members themselves, where desires were born for certain ministries, dedication to serve God on the mission field and where inner healing came. That's what happens when we step out to serve God!

The prison in Buna Ziua. While the women helped cook the meal, the men joined the inmates on the soccer field. On the sidelines many a tear was shed, ´stically´ prayed and there were beautiful conversations. Together we ate and had a wonderful time of worship. Music led by God's Spirit opens hearts, heals, softens hearts and convicts of sin.

Dancing, singing, distributing food packages, evangelizing, praying for people, hugging ... one big party!

We look back on a very special time with a fantastic team! Wonderful to set other people (young people) free to step out of their comfort zone and discover what gifts and talents they have, and want to develop!

Worship is a weapon we carry with us as Closer to His heart Ministries. It brings with it that which materials cannot achieve. It has an appeal that is not about qualities or about multitude, it is the power of His Name and of His love that we sing out, and it transcends even any language barrier.
